Millions and millions of children all around the world go to school around the age of 4 to 5 years old. Sadly enough the situation in Nepal is slightly different. Every day, many Nepali children face questions like: “Can I go to school today or do I have to work in the local factory?”, “Will there be enough to eat for me today”, “Will there be enough clean water for me to drink or to clean myself with?”

Deurali School

 

Shree Deurali Community English School is a small school situated on the outskirts of the Himalayan countryside, in a small village called Lahachowk. The school has around 160 children and 18 staff members. It was established in the year 2000 (Nepali date: 2057 BS). Over the years the school has grown considerably with the help of the local community and all its supporters.

Mahendra (NVA) School

 

Mahendra Community Primary Shool is a small but old school situated in the small village Dagdanda. It was established in 1960 (Nepali date: 2017 BS). Mahendra school is a merger school between Sunrise (NVA) school and Mahendra school. It has around 80 students and a small team of 7 teachers. Mahendra is partly community, partly government school.

Thumki School

 

Shree Thumki Community Boarding School is situated in a very small village called Thumki. The school was established in 2063 BS (2006 AD). It has around 75 children and 7 staff members. The school was founded by a small group of local villagers who wanted to have a better school than the local Government school. Over the years the school roll increased considerably and it is now a renowned local school.

Shree Durga Adarsha Community School is situated in a small village called Serachour. The school has approximately 150 children and around 15 staff members. The school was founded by a large group of villagers who wanted to have a school in their neighbourhood. It was established in the year 2000 (Nepali date: 2057 BS.) Over the years the school roll increased considerably with the help of the local community.
